Join Our Team

During peak season, we’re a group of about 425 people, ranging from experienced and skilled employees who’ve been with us for decades to new employees with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to learn. We come from different cultures and we speak different languages, but our goal is the same. With a valued reputation for service, quality, and selection, we work with professionals and garden centers throughout the area to keep our region beautiful.

Vision Mission

With pride and integrity, we provide the landscape professionals and garden centers of New England with the high-quality plants and materials they need. As a fourth generation business, we aim to treat each customer and employee like family. We fully respect and appreciate the contributions of every member of our organization.

We want our business to always be a place where hard work is rewarded, humility is respected, and nothing is more important than the values and passions of the people who work here. With those long-held principles as our foundation, we grow and succeed through inventiveness and initiative. Every day, we look for new ways to work smarter and produce better, to combine sustainability and good business, and, most importantly, to serve our customers.

Our vision is to continue to create the most dependable, forward-looking and service-oriented horticultural farm and landscaping supply resource in New England.

Sustainability

Our Commitment

We’ve been working the land for four generations, so we take our responsibility to care for the environment seriously. We combine time-honored methods and specific carbon-reducing projects to continually optimize our operations while respecting and protecting the environment. Our commitment to reduce our impact has long been a core part of how we move our business forward.

State-of-the-Art Greenhouses

We’ve made several significant investments in greenhouse technology to save energy and reduce our carbon footprint:

  • Computerized environmental control systems and energy conservation curtains.
  • A wood-chip fired central boiler system provides heating using waste wood.
  • Flood-and-flow floor systems integrated into the greenhouses allow for precise irrigation and the reuse of water and fertilizer.

Responsible Growing Practices

We employ a variety of proven traditional farming techniques that are both good for production and the environment:

  • Use of beneficial insects and biologically-based insecticides and fungicides.
  • Our carefully graded fields direct water back into irrigation ponds for reuse.
  • Energy-efficient electric tugs and forklifts replace diesel fueled vehicles.
  • Automated transplanting and material handling systems increase efficiency.

Recycling and Reuse Initiatives

In addition to collecting waste wood for our boiler system and reusing irrigation water, we have instituted several internal and customer programs to reduce overall waste:

  • Farm-wide cardboard recycling.
  • Composting turns green waste products into high quality soils for our customers.
